Abstract

The “Belt and Road” initiative provides a strategic basis for promoting economic and trade exchanges between China and countries along the route and achieving common prosperity and development. We used the entropy method to quantitatively evaluate the impact of the “Belt and Road” initiative on the foreign trade and economic development of the countries along the route from the perspective of economics. We found that the construction of the “Belt and Road” has the greatest effect on promoting trade on areas adjacent to China, which provides support for future policy making.
