Abstract
The research aims to explore the potential and challenges of using adaptive web-based interactive tutoring (AWIT) in the transformation of digital literacy education in colleges. In the fast-growing digital age, digital literacy has become a crucial skill for students. However, there are still gaps in digital literacy mastery among students. AWIT offers a personal and adaptive learning approach, which potentially overcomes the gaps. Through literature studies and best practice analysis, this research will explore how AWIT can be implemented to improve students^ digital literacy skills. AWIT^s potential includes personalized learning, high interactivity, flexible access, and quick assessment and feedback. Meanwhile, challenges include the complexity of system development, user acceptance, infrastructure needs, and issues of privacy and data security. The research results are expected to provide valuable insights for higher education institutions in integrating AWIT into the digital literacy curriculum, as well as provide recommendations to address the challenges of its implementation. This research has contributed to the development of effective strategies to improve students^ digital literacy, preparing them for the demands of the digital age
