Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the UMBRELLA learning model on learning outcomes of basic volleyball passing techniques. This research is experimental research using the randomized pretest-posttest control group research design ofthe same subject design. The research sample was 30 students from the Faculty of Sports Science. Determination of the sample using simple random sampling. Learning outcome data was collected starting from the pretest and posttest. Data analysis used the t-test with the help of SPSS 2.0 for Windows. In the experimental group, the average value was 0.52. Meanwhile, in the control group, the average value was 0.26. Based on the Independent samples test, the significance figure obtained was p=0.000˂0.05. So it can be concluded that the UMBRELLA learning model has a significant effect on the learning outcomes of basic volleyball passing techniques for sports science faculty students. Thus, it is recommended that for the learning process teachers can apply the UMBRELLA learning model as an alternative learning that can be applied to big ball teaching material, name volleyball passing.
