Abstract
Today Machine learning algorithms are the driving force of many applications because of their adjustable and expandable characteristics. They are influencing almost every aspect of the research. Information security one of the evolving fields in research. Data is being generated by heterogeneous sources, which provides a great scope for the information security research and machine learning algorithms can play a vital role for this. This paper provides a literature review for information security threats and the effects of machine learning algorithms against these threats.
