    Abstract

Block diagonalization (BD) as a coordinated multipoint transmission-joint processing technique in multi-user CoMP system can eliminate all multi-user interference. However, an obvious disadvantage is the limit of the number of antennas at transmitter and receiver. A new precoding scheme based on block diagonalisation, signal to successive interference, leakage and noise ratio (BD-SSILNR) is proposed. Users are classified into two parts based on the minimum number of receive antennas needed. For the part where users don’t satisfy the transmission conditions of BD, the precoding matrix are calculated by the criterion of signal power to successive interference, leakage plus noise ratio. The limit of the number of transmit and receive antennas is avoided. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme leads to significant sum-rate gain and appreciable BER performance improvement in multi-user CoMP system.
