Abstract

This paper discusses the cooperation between Laos and China, starting with an overview of the challenges faced by Laos as a developing country and China's economic transformation as a global player. The importance of the Belt and Road Initiative in the collaboration between the two countries is emphasized, along with the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on their cooperation. Furthermore, the unequal benefits experienced by ordinary Laotians in the cooperation are highlighted, along with the reasons behind it, suggesting solutions through education and cultural exchanges. Additionally, the future potential of economic and trade cooperation between China and Laos is explored, emphasizing the importance of cultural diversity, sustainable development, and mutual respect in fostering lasting partnerships
