Abstract
This study explores the participation of Catholic Religious Education teachers in facilitating catechetical activities at the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, Pota. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method. The participants include the parish priest, the head of the catechetical commission, five leaders of Christian Base Communities (KBG), and twelve Catholic Religious Education teachers. Data collection methods consist of observations, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis follows the process of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicated that Catholic Religious Education teachers have participated sufficiently in guiding the catechetical activities of the people in the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, Pota. This is reinforced by internal factors, including a strong commitment to fulfilling the role of a messenger, readiness, a sense of responsibility, and a deep sense of vocation. Meanwhile, external factors encompass motivation and support from family, as well as participation in activities such as recollections, pilgrimages, training sessions, and parish-organized meetings. The involvement of Catholic Religious Education teachers in facilitating catechetical activities contributes significantly to the development of faith, the strengthening of brotherhood, and the spirit of service, benefiting both the teachers themselves and the community.
