Abstract
Understanding cyber law is essential for companies due to rapid technological advancements. The internet and social media offer innovative tools but also pose challenges. Cybercrime, a consequence of this progress, is on the rise. In a competitive market, ethical behavior is crucial, especially in marketing strategies aimed at engaging consumers. However, e-commerce and social media are rife with counterfeit products and false advertising, contributing to commercial fraud. Existing Indonesian laws mainly focus on consumer protection. This research paper explores the need for cyber law enforcement to ensure ethical business practices. Using normative research methods, it reviews legal materials and literature on the topic. Governments should implement cyber security measures to uphold ethical standards and protect both consumers and companies effectively.
