Abstract

This article studies the safety issues of dangerous goods vehicles through road tunnels, and considers four factors including the weather environment, tunnel characteristics, traffic characteristics, and emergency rescue conditions. Based on hierarchical analysis process, a risk assessment model of dangerous goods vehicles through road tunnels is proposed to evaluate the risk of 7 tunnels on the expressway from Beijing to Chengde in China, and propose targeted measures and suggestions based on the evaluation results.
