Abstract

Social conflicts that often occur in society pose a threat to the implementation of the 2024 elections. Therefore, it is necessary to prevent and handle social conflicts that are predicted to arise in the 2024 elections. This research aims to determine the factors that cause social conflicts in Kukuh Village, Marga District. Tabanan and solutions as an effort to anticipate and prevent social conflict ahead of the 2024 election. This research uses a qualitative research approach with a case study type. Selected subjects were determined based on purposive sampling technique. Data collection uses observation techniques, interviews and documentation studies. The data analysis techniques used include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions and carrying out verification. The results of the research show that the factors causing social conflict in Kukuh Village, Marga Tabanan District are economic factors, social factors and political factors. The solution or method that can be used to resolve conflicts in Kukuh Village is by instilling and strengthening the values of local wisdom in the community. Apart from that, to resolve the conflict that occurred in Kukuh Village, it can be resolved through deliberation between the conflicting communities, mediated by the village head, and finally by involving law enforcement.
