Abstract
In this paper, we describe a framework for mobile wireless applications oriented to a wide variety of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). The framework is intended to be extensible, reliable, incorporating best practices and available resources, and suitable for applications such as those found in a fleet of vehicles (e.g. public transport). The framework will be described in general terms with applications provided to demonstrate the efficacy of the framework and rationale for many of the technology decisions.
