Abstract

In this paper we investigate applying optimal relay selection with jamming (OSJ) scheme under security constraints in cooperative cognitive radio networks (CRNs). Taking the interference power limit at the primary user (PU) into consideration, one information relay node and one jammer are selected to achieve physical security based on the instantaneous channels condition. The aim of this scheme is to maximize the achievable secrecy rate and we use the secrecy outage probability as a performance evaluation metric. The effectiveness of some other conventional relay selection schemes when used in CRNs is also studied. Theoretical analysis shows that these relay selection schemes present distinct character in new applied environment. Simulation results have verified the correctness of the analytical process.
