Abstract

In this paper the implementation of random access preamble detection based on General Purpose Processor (GPP) is proposed. Detailed optimization of Intel® Performance Libraries and Single instruction Multiple Data (SIMD) has been described. By analyzing the characteristic of two detection algorithms and optimization methods, the detection algorithm with FFT/IFFT is proved easier to be employed on GPP. The simulations reveal that realization of preamble detection based on GPP can not only achieve great improvement in processing latency, but also meet the performance requirement.
