Abstract

So far release 10 of 3GPP LTE standard specifies 9 transmission modes supporting different transmission schemes in downlink. In this paper we introduced the usage of different transmission modes and most importantly evaluated their performance with increase of UE velocity. Our results show TM 9 based transmission scheme provides best performance especially in low speed scenario. And MIMO/beamforming gain is more robust.
