Abstract

In this paper, we are interested in an optimization problem whose goal is to construct an interference-free and delay-constrained multicast tree with maximized serviced mesh clients in multi-channel multi-radio wireless mesh networks. Based on a cross-layer design paradigm, we propose a cross-layer and load-oriented (CLLO) algorithm which can consider application demand, multicast routing and channel assignment jointly. We have, as well, conducted a set of simulations to verify the efficiency of the CLLO algorithm. The experimental results show that our proposed algorithm outperforms previous methods in terms of the number of serviced mesh clients and throughputs.
