Abstract

This paper discusses a multi-band multi-hop secondary communication network for realizing cognitive radio (CR) system under the primary system with shadowing environment. The CR system considered in this paper limits the transmit power according to the result of carrier sense. The transmission area is expanded by using multi-hop networks with multi band channel.We confirm the effectiveness of the multi-band multi-hop network for CR with power limitation for avoiding giving interference toward the primary system under the shadowing environment.We also evaluate the required density of terminals for establishing the CR network under the interference of the primary system.
