Abstract
In an OFDM receiver with traditional superheterodyne radio-frequency (RF) front-end, the analog IF output signal is sampled at an IF sampling rate adhered to bandpass sampling theorem. A digital front-end which incorporates spectral shifting and sampling rate conversion (SRC) is then required to convert the digital IF signal to a complex baseband signal at a baseband sampling specified by the OFDM system. The SRC ratio must be arbitrary ratio when the IF sampling rate is asynchronous to the time base of the transmitter. In this paper, we discuss the design of Farrow Interpolator for arbitrary ratio SRC in the digital front-end specifically for OFDM receivers.
