Abstract
Avian radar surveillance system used to monitor bird movements can effectively prevent bird strikes. Due to most airport companies’demand of low-cost avian radar detection, here an avian radar system based on single marine radar is developed by tilting the antenna part. Meanwhile a scheme for bird flying track estimation is presented, using linear neutral regression method to extract three-dimensional (3D) information of birds. The method is verified by Monte-Carlo simulation and experimental results.
