Abstract
Delivering High Definition Video (HDV) is a typical application on the Next Generation Internet (NGI). This paper pays attention to the end-to-end distortion during the real-time delivering of HDV, aiming to seek an effective error concealment method with negligible additional delay. Based on the character analysis of corrupted HDV clips, we propose an error concealment scheme, with some special design to reduce the extra calculation load. Many experiments are conducted to evaluate the performance of our method; results show that corrupted HDV sequences can be effectively reconstructed without much additional delay using our method.
