Abstract

This paper we present a simple method to configure high BDP OBS environments. With this platform, our experiment evaluates and validates the throughput of TCP with high performance extension. The results show TCP still gets poor performance even at 0.05% burst drop ratio over large RTT OBS network and experiment obtains worse results than simulation. At last, we validate Fast TCP congestion control scheme is not suitable for high speed large RTT OBS networks.
