Abstract
A novel interleaver-based cooperation diversity protocol for wireless networks with multiple relays. In the proposed threshold-based decode-interleave-and-forward (TDIF) protocol, different relays are assigned with different interleavers, and the spatial diversity can be achieved through a symbol-by-symbol iterative detection method at the destination. Bit-error-rate performance analysis is also provided. Both analytical and numeric simulation results show that spatial diversity can be achieved in both synchronous and asynchronous wireless networks.
