Abstract

In this paper, we propose a new differential quasi-orthogonal space-time block coding (DQOSTBC) scheme, in which we use the rotation coefficient to modify the quasi-orthogonal space-time block coding (QOSTBC) to construct a group of unitary matrices for differential modulations. Because our scheme doesn't expend the constellation, it has large Euclidean distance than published DQOSTBC schemes and can improve the transmit performance for a system with large number of receive antennas. Simulation results demonstrate that our proposed scheme can obtain better transmit performance than Yun Zhu and Chau Yuen for large number of receive antennas.
