Abstract

A novel off-line anonymous digital cash protocol utilizing smart card is presented in this paper. It employs smart card as a distributed anonymity and divisibility provider agent based on Schnorr signature scheme. It provides accountable anonymity and divisibility. Its digital cash proves to be unreusable, unexpandable, untraceable, and unforgeable. Compared with Chaum and Wang's scheme, the novel protocol distributes less computation load on customers and cost less communication, thus it is efficient and adapted to mobile payment.
