Abstract

In this paper we will present concepts that are vital for the demonstration of vertically integrated Radio over fibre networks. We look at some of the technologies that are required to introduce complex network functions in the optical layer and discuss some of the issues that arise in the deployment of radio over-fibre networks. We explore the issues that are involved in the construction of dynamically reconfigurable radio-over-fibre networks.
