Abstract
In this paper we share the experience we gained from the implementation and deployment of a proof-of-concept ICT intervention aiming at improving the health of women and children in rural and remote communities in Jordan. The intervention has a web and mobile components. The developed system serves as: (1) a tool for medical experts to disseminate awareness information; (2) a source of medical knowledge to residents of rural communities and clinics serving those communities; and (3) a tool for clinics to manage immunization of children in remote and rural areas.
