Abstract
In recent years a variety of 3D scanning technologies has been applied to the field of Heritage Preserve. The paper describes an operational 3D scanning system that has been set up at Kaohsiung Museum of History for digital archival of cultural artifacts. Also, an approach that refines resolution of stereo correspondence to improve model quality obtained by structured lighting is proposed. The reconstructed models are shown to evaluate performance of improved scanner.
