Abstract
In this paper, we consider a large relay network with one base station (BS), multiple users and quantities of relays, where the BS and relays are equipped with multiple antennas. Firstly, we propose an amplify-and-forward (AF) transmission scheme with successive relaying protocol for the network. Then both relay grouping and power allocation over multiple data streams at the BS are jointly optimized to further improve the proposed scheme. Numerical results show that the achievable system spectrum efficiency is considerably improved by the proposed optimized relaying scheme.
