Abstract
In Bulgaria, many efforts have been taken in the last few years to support the schools to adapt to the new requirements of the Digital Society, and to equip future generations with the required skills and knowledge. The paper aims to provide an overview of the trends in Bulgaria for digital transformation of schools. It follows the methodology agreed by the partners of ERASMUS+ project DigiLEAD. Initially, the national environment for digitization of schools is presented. A deep analysis is made of the trends towards digital transformation of schools – considering the school leadership, the teaching and learning practices, the infrastructure and equipment, the development of action plans and monitoring, and the readiness and support to human resources.
