Abstract
This paper studies joint computation offloading and communication resource allocation for mobile edge computing (MEC) systems. We aim to minimise the end-to-end (e2e) latency among users (UEs) by jointly optimising task offloading portions, frequency of UEs and edge servers, as well as transmission power of UEs with respect to the latency requirements, computing and energy budgets. To deal with this challenging optimisation problem, we propose efficient algorithms based on the alternating optimisation (AO) approach and convex optimisation. Simulation results validate the effectiveness of the proposed solutions in terms of reducing the e2e latency of UEs as well as demonstrate the impacts of involved parameters on the performance.
