With the development of the new generation of IT and internet, medical education has entered a new era of intelligentization, networking and digitalization. The new-generation IT, including virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), three-dimensional (3D) printing and artificial intelligence (AI), has been applied in medical education and evolved as pedagogical strategies to promote the learner-centered teaching method.
