Abstract
The Vehicular ad-hoc network (VANET) is a collection of mobile nodes without any existing infrastructure or central administrator. This kind of network is very flexible in the topology structure, so it requires the routing protocols with fast convergence in routing process, and minimal drop links. In this paper we proposed a novel hybrid routing protocol, it is the combined between of the table-driven routing and on-demand routing in VANET. With neighbor table was updated instantaneously, and using strong neighbor for routing process made route discovery process start whenever it received requirement, and it restrict route overhead at each node from 30 to 50 percentage. The simulation result illustrated the outstanding properties of our proposed routing protocol.
