Abstract
The article is devoted to the influence of logistics on small-sized and middle-sized enterprises on transport and shipping and the influence of the European norms and national legislation on the process of undertaking in this area. Paper provides the review of contemporary issues in the field of logistics, transport, and forwarding; describes the state and development of small-sized and middle-sized enterprises in Slovakia and in selected EU countries. Authors in the paper also analyze the influence of logistics on small-sized and middle-sized enterprises from the view of European and national legislation in the selected countries.
