Abstract

This paper investigates the Weighted Sum Rate Maxi¬miz¬ation (WSRmax) problem with power constraint in multiuser OFDM systems. The resource allocation is imple¬mented by exploiting quantized channel state information (CSI) of pilot subcarriers. The CSI of non-pilot subcarriers is obtained by linear interpolation at the base station (BS). To reduce the complexity of the re¬source allocation, adjacent sub¬carriers are grouped into chunks and all subcarriers within one chunk are allocated to the same user. Three different feedback schemes, including accurate CSI feedback, quantized CSI feedback and partial quantized CSI feedback are considered. By comparing the performance of the three schemes, we find out the impact of finite rate feedback on the performance of chunk-based multiuser OFDM systems.
