Abstract

The performance of capacity achieved by water-filling power allocation strategy for MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) channels in high speed railway scenario is evaluated, compared to the capacity by equal power allocation strategy in this paper. The results show that water-filling power allocation strategy can increase MIMO channel capacity. And more channel capacity can be increased when using more elements. When the SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio) is low water-filling power allocation strategy can increase capacity obviously, while in the region of high SNR the capacity is not enhanced as much as the former.
