Abstract
Communication and collaboration among members in virtual workspace are becoming more complex and challenging. Users are invisible and they are merely represented by their tasks in align with resources. In order to maintain effective communication among users, monitoring context awareness in a collaborative space is crucial. A vital aspect of awareness is associated with coordinating work practices by displaying and monitoring virtual users’ actions. This paper focuses on user activities in five dominant domains for the purpose of understanding phenomena in contextual awareness. Activities and their relationships are explored to produce an activity-based entities relationship in monitoring context awareness.
