Abstract

A method of video stream evaluation and test performance based on Ethernet-PON (passive optical network) was proposed. The IP-based video service or so called IPTV has emerged as the most promising network technology and its QoS (quality of service) has becoming a key concern in access network. The paper gives the performance evaluation of unicast and multicast video stream with different flux. Detailed experiments are presented to validate the effectiveness of diff-flux video streams transmission. The experiment results show that the evaluation closely approximates to the expectant ones.
