Abstract

The current regulatory outlook indicates the need for some detect and avoid (DAA) mechanism aimed at mitigating the effects of UWB interference on incumbent radio services. This paper presents a revised method for increasing the notch depth at an MB-OFDM WiMedia PHY transmitter operating under DAA guidelines in the presence of protected in-band services.
