Abstract

This paper will present a general architecture of the return channel implemented using Power Line Communication – PLC for interactive services delivered through Digital TV Broadcasting, such as e-health and e-learning. The application in low-income regions of Latin America and Europe is one requirement of the solution to be adopted that implies directly on the prices to be charged to the customers. This implementation will be used in the SAMBA project (founded by European Commission) and involving test beds in Brazil and Italy.
