EU Digital Library

Providing access to thousands of scientific articles from all fields of ICT research

The European Union Digital Library (EU Digital Library) is the central repository of all scientific content published under the different avenues of ICST publications with an ICST copyright, including conference proceedings, journal papers and book chapters as well as magazine articles. EU Digital Library contains all proceedings pertaining to ICST's technical, science-to-business and engineering for innovation conferences, papers appearing in the different volumes of the ICST Transactions journal series, chapters and monographs from the ICST Innovation Books series and articles and related content from the Society's online magazine and portals. EU Digital Library also accommodates publications from selected partner institutions - alternative technical associations, professional societies and regulatory organs - that closely cooperate with ICST in its efforts to effectively disseminate scientific and research results globally.

The digital library provides an organized and structured framework in which Society members can easily find relevant publications owing to the complex search function that responds to queries based on keywords, author names, publication titles and Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs). The assignment of DOIs to each item in the digital library serves EU Digital Library's integration in CrossRef, the world's largest inter-publisher cooperation project. The CrossRef system enables the cross-referencing and cross-citation of tens of millions of documents published by the participating publishers whose number is approaching 3000 currently. Scientific content in EU Digital Library is indexed by Google Scholar automatically and it is also referenced through multiple citation indices, including SCI, ISI Proceedings, EI, DBLP, ZBIMath/Compuserve, IO-Port, Scopus, INSPEC, and Zentralblatt Math.

Authors with published content appearing in EU Digital Library are encouraged to join ICST's membership scheme through the Partnership for Excellence Program and take advantage of the benefits offered by the Science Rewards Program, the Society's rewards and incentive initiate. Through their participation in the Science Rewards Program, authors are eligible to receive royalty based reward points on their membership account every time their published scientific work is accessed by another Society member. This methodology not only allows a better monitoring of the impact of an author's published scientific output but it also redistributes income in the forms of reward points that authors can redeem through accessing alternative ICST services on a discounted or fully complementary bases.
